Creative sent over a number of their wireless speakers and I just unboxed one of them — the
Creative D200.
Streaming music from any device via Bluetooth, the D200 offers a simple
alternative if you’re bored with dock speaker systems.
Creative’s D200 Wireless Bluetooth speakers looked simple and elegant
with black glossy finish and a front panel that’s purely covered with a
mesh screen.
The buttons at the center top only features the volume control (+/-) and a dedicated button for the Bluetooth.
The device hooks up via AC power and there’s no option for
rechargeable batteries for you’re left with no option if you want to
bring this to the beach or on the road. An audio port for 3.5mm jack is
available at the back.
Operating the wireless audio streaming is pretty simple and easy —
just activate the auto-discovery on your music player and press the
Bluetooth button on the speakers and you’re all set.
Sound quality of the speakers is actually very good with really deep
bass (I actually think the bass is a little heavy than I expected it to
be). Volume is pretty decent and it’s got a good enough range.
Although Creative claims it can stream music up to 10 meters away, it
degrades when blocked with obstacles such as walls or doors. Audio
fidelity also depreciates with distance (which is natural for most
wireless speakers).
The Creative D200 is now available in stores and has a suggested retail price of
Php5,990.
