Samsung’s Nexus S in the flesh Empty

We reported before that Samsung is bringing the Google Nexus S in the Philippines last March. We have not gotten confirmation but looks like review units are already circulating around.

This one we saw in the flesh was being carried by a magazine editor
earlier today. I didn’t asked for details but I assumed it was a review
unit and that means the handset will eventually hit the market sooner or
later. Not sure though why the release didn’t push thru the other
month.

The Google Nexus S
has been available in grey markets since January this year for
Php35,000. The expected retail price is supposed to be Php28,500. Should
perfectly compliment the Galaxy S2 which is expected to be in the
Php32k to Php35k.

The Nexus S is a little thicker compared to the first Galaxy S but
the curved design is giving it a sexy appeal. The bare Android 2.3
(Gingerbread) UI is pretty standard (IMO, it looks better than the
TouchWiz 3.0 UI) and reminded me of the Nexus One.

We’re hoping that it gets released soon although the Galaxy S2 is
still getting a lot of attention (I am told the release of that one is
also being pushed back to June).
